Hosting the Pilgrims …..

We were very fortunate on Saturday 29 August to host the Northern Leg of the Latin Mass Society’s annual walking pilgrimage to Walsingham.

Traditionally they depart from Nottinghamshire, walking approximately 120 miles east across the country to reach the final High Mass at the Walsingham Priory ruins.  The pilgrims walk during the day carrying a large wooden cross.

The weather wasn’t too kind to them, but we were delighted to host them at the village hall overnight.
