Come and support our fabulous Wanderers Youth Squad as they play on the pitch behind the Hall each Sunday morning. Read on to learn about the background of the team which formed in 2023 and how Tim Kavanagh brought his vision to reality. “Back in the early 90’s, Massingham was where I (that’s me, Tim Cavanagh) began my football journey, so it always holds a special place in my heart. The Wanderers’ journey began when David Lynch and I decided the time was right to turn my vision into reality and set up our own team. With the support of Andrew Brown, we launched the youth squad in 2023. Fast forward nearly two years on and we coming to the end of our 2nd season as a group and it’s certainly been a great journey. Next season sees the lads move to 11v11 for the first time, with larger goals and an increase in pitch side, it will be a test for the young Wanderers. The real vison is to improve the side each year and develop the lads into a team that is competitive in the league they are in!
It would be great to see the local community come down and see the boys on a Sunday morning to show their support of these great young sportsman.”
