Christmas Fayre – What a great day!
What a great day for Great Massingham Village Hall on Saturday 8 November. Good weather and the promise of both traditional and unusual gifts and decorations at very reasonable prices encouraged a large crowd of buyers to visit the 20 or so stalls. What a great Fundraising Fete!
The Great Massingham community came together on the 12 October with a Fundraising Fete to raise funds towards the building of a new inclusive playground for our children. Every donation, big or small, helped us reach our goal. What a fabulous day! We had Splat the Rat and retro games, Face painting, Tombola, raffle, food, drinks and lots of family fun! What a fabulous party on Saturday celebrating the engagement of two very lovely people! A great evening had by all including music and a very popular karaoke to liven up an even livelier celebration evening! What a day!
Great Massingham Village Hall was buzzing for the Macmillan Coffee Afternoon. Yummy cakes, raffle and tombola wins, donkey walks, bouncy castle and gladiator fun, face painting, hot chocolates and more! What a brilliant community vibe! Together we raised an amazing £2,016.63 for Macmillan!!! A HUGE thank you to everyone who manned stalls, baked goodies, gathered raffle and tombola prizes and did so much more!
A successful Summer of Tennis!
A busy summer of League Matches has come to a close with Great Massingham winning the Mixed Doubles Castle Acre League this year. Also, The Mens Doubles Team won Div 2 of the West Norfolk League with 3 Ladies Teams coming 2nd, 3rd & 4th in Div 2 of the West Norfolk League and the Mixed Doubles team 2nd in Div 2.
Busy Night in the bar!

Did you see the International Pilgrims?
On Saturday, 23 August, Great Massingham was very pleased to welcome International Pilgrims from all over the world. The route offers a 37 mile walk through the Norfolk countryside and we were very happy to host over 400 pilgrims in the Village Hall and Playing Field overnight before they set off for their final journey the following morning to the Shrine of our Lady of Walsingham. Newly surfaced car park – muddy feet and potholes are a thing of the past!
In response to feedback from visitors to the hall, we are delighted to announce that the car park areas at the front facing onto the road and the overflow car park at the rear have been resurfaced. The tarmac and grit surface is still very new so we would urge visitors to drive with care until the surface has bedded in.
