This year we commemorate a remarkable milestone, the Centenary of our much-loved Village Hall. A century ago, our village predecessors with the help of our benefactor embarked on a journey, sowing the seeds of an institution that has stood for one hundred years.  The hall has endured fires and weathered storms, it has been the hub for raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity and the venue for family celebrations through the generations.  Many residents will remember with fondness the pantos and shows held at the hall over the years. It is the cornerstone of our life here in Great Massingham.

A century is no small feat. Whilst the Hall was initiated by the generous help of the Dewar Family, for which we are forever grateful – it’s the people of Massingham who’ve maintained it.  Our Hall has been shaped by countless hands, hearts, and minds. To all those who have contributed—past and present—their dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment have been the mainstay of our essential communal centre. We thank all those unsung heroes—the volunteers, the visionaries, and the tireless workers—who have maintained this Hall.
