Holding a Wake at Great Massingham Village Hall

Planning a wake for a funeral need not be overwhelming. At Great Massingham Village Hall we can help make your event a celebration of life and provide a comfortable and relaxing environment for friends and family to remember and share memories of the deceased and express their sympathies to you.

The Hall provides the ideal venue as it is situated less than 5 minutes walk from St Mary’s Church in the centre of the village and Mintlyn Crematorium is just fifteen minutes away by car. Up to 120 mourners can be accommodated comfortably and there is ample off-road parking.

If you wish to decorate the venue with flowers or photographs, or set up entertainment, you will need to visit the Hall beforehand. Whilst the Hall does not provide catering services, we can provide you with some recommendations and the kitchen facilities are available on request. The Bar is also available.

Hire Charges

Prices to hire the Hall are from £120 dependent on facilities required and the duration of the event. Please contact us for more information and to discuss your needs.
